Ode to gg

Two words, one iconic feeling. A FIFA match where no one throws the controller,
a perfect headshot from distance, a bluff that fools the whole table. If you love games, you know what I mean.

gg is only said when you finish a game where you were so locked in.
When you were lost in the moment. When you battled honestly and so did your opponent.
When the best man won and both players finished hungry for more.

For some context here, I build games. Simple ones, like PvP Solitaire.
In my journey, I've found that complexity isn't what makes a great game.
What makes a great game is the person you are playing against.

I used to obsess over a being better than my friends in clash royale.
Or capturing one pesky city in online Civ 5.
Or beating the one friend I never could at chess.

But since I left school, these feelings are fewer and further between.
When I look at the top games on the app store today, I see games meant to numb your mind, not to stimulate it.
Games built for solitude, not for competition; games without ggs.

So how can I bring back the feeling I've lost?

It starts with simple games done right. Then comes real stakes, something to make you lock in.
Third, an unwaivering commitment to fairness. And most importantly, an app that brings together worthy opponents.

What do you think? I bet you $1 you can't beat me at solitaire.
